9. Community

CHAT’s workshops are an important component to bring the community together. Former garment employees usually are invited to give workshops and to collaborate with local and international artists, students, and fashion designers in upcycling projects. This intergenerational dialogue is a unique opportunity to share forgotten practices of Hong Kong’s textile manufacturing and to strengthen the Mills-CHAT commitment toward sustainable industrial development through the creative reuse of textile waste.
