Katya Lachowicz Biography
Katya is an artist researcher whose practice delves into the liminal
spaces between fiction and reality with a particular audio-visual
sensibility. Interests include art and politics, infrastructures and
bio-political geographies. She is currently a PhD candidate in Visual
Anthropology at Goldsmiths University. Over the years she has
presented on the topics of utopianism, crisis and change in numerous
conferences such as SIEF, Historical Materialism and CES. Her sound
installations and video works were exhibited across Europe in
galleries and festivals, such as Baumwollespinnerei (Leipzig, 2010),
Espace Duplex (Geneva, 2013), and the Multimedia Anthropology Lab
(London, 2018).
