This is a festival in which I was invited by Danzo Balroop, as a beginning of our collaboration in Mas making. The festival invited the mas man and his collaborators (his children and I) to propose a few onsite constructed Big Costumes for the children and family-oriented festival, the majority from first-generation migrant origins.
This photographic video assembles part of a portfolio made for Saldenah's mas band, which allowed me to enter the mas camp during the costume production, and wanted me to portrait their significant movements during the carnival season in Toronto. I was part of the crew during the parade 2014-2015.
